SAILA TOP

The cockleshell lace stitch that encircles the lower portion of Saila, is one of my favourite stitch patterns, just based on the single fact that I find it so visually pleasing! I originally found this stitch in a very worn, vintage knitting leaflet from the 1920s. Modified to be worked in the round, the stitch pattern does require a sufficient amount of your attention, but once you’re clear of it the knitting is smooth sailing!
