A simply shaped dropped shoulder pullover, with interesting front pockets, and side vents. As seen on the cover of Knitscene Winter 2015, this piece was part of a designer feature with three designs by Sachiko, and three designs by Kiyomi. The issue also had a tutorial on how to sew the pockets.

MATERIALS


Yarn 

Noro Silk Garden Solo (45% silk, 45% mohair, 10% wool; 109 yd 100 m/50 g):
#5 caramel, 9 (10, 11, 12, 13) skeins

Needles

• Size 8 (5 mm): straight and 16” circular (cir) needle
• Size 7 (4.5 mm): straight and 16” circular (cir) needle

Notions

  • Markers (m)

  • Removable m

  • Stitch holders

  • Tapestry needle

GAUGE

16 sts and 22 rows = 4” in St st on larger needles

NOTES

This sweater is worked back and forth in pieces and is seamed together at end. Circular recommended to accommodate large number of sts, and are easier to use when working pockets. Choose a size that gives you at least 6” positive ease. Sleeve cuffs are meant to be worn rolled up.
